Designed to allow drivers with shoulder injuries to return to work.
Compact
Folds up and fits in any standard chain box.
State of Oregon log truck driver injury data over the last 5 years shows that shoulder injury claims are by far the the most costly. With The Wrapper Rod, you can prevent these injuries entirely and return to work immediately when a shoulder injury does occur.
This tool was designed for log truck drivers with shoulder injuries to return-to-work without having to throw wrappers. Using this tool not only prevents shoulder injuries, it is also faster than throwing wrappers individually.
When the load is wrapped and the shovel begins to boom down on the other side, the wrapper chains slip right off the pegs of the Wrapper Rod on their own. See video below. The driver can then quickly apply the binders to secure the load in the chute.
The Wrapper Rod is made in Eugene, OR USA and made to last using Stainless Steel. It easily folds up to fit into any standard chain box and is quickly deploy-able when needed, extending out to 12′ for long loads, or 6′ for mule trains.
Oregon Employer-At-Injury Program EAIP will pay for this tool for any employer of a driver with a shoulder injury. Ask your insurer or workers comp agent about Oregon’s Employer-At-Injury Program (EAIP) to pay 100% of the cost of this worksite modification tool so you can return to work. Employers can purchase this tool for healthy drivers as a preventive measure to extend careers and lower workers comp premiums dramatically over time by eliminating this claim type.
